AMES® Expands Line of Popular Ergo Gel Grip Garden Hand Tools

Garden line extends to include three new ergonomic gel grip tools

CAMP HILL, Pa . (May 2014) – AMES®, a leading manufacturer of lawn and garden products, announces three new additions to its line of Ergo Gel Grip hand tools, including a Multi-Tool Hoe/Cultivator, a Multi-Tool Weeder/Transplanter and Hand Rake. The full line of Ergo Gel Grip tools offers year-round garden solutions from spring cultivating and summer planting, to fall harvesting and winter pruning.

As with all of the hand tools in the AMES Ergo Gel Grip tool line, each features an ergonomic handle design with a soft gel-grip insert that cushions the hand and provides maximum comfort.

According to a recent a recent report from the National Gardening Association, Garden to Table: A 5-Year Look at Food Gardening in America, we know that 35 percent of all households in America, or 42 million households, are growing food at home or in a community garden. As this trend continues to grow in popularity, consumers will need tools to harvest these homegrown bounties throughout the year.

Beyond the gel grip feature on the handles, the 2-in-1 cultivator/hoe features a stainless steel, dual-purpose head with a cultivator for tilling and a hoe for light digging. The 2-in-1 weeder/root cutter features a stainless steel head and serrated edge for cutting roots. The hand rake features wide tines for gathering leaves and other materials.

These three new hand tools add to the current lineup of tools consisting of a hand trowel, hand transplanter, hand cultivator, hand weeder and soil scoop. Individual tools range in price from $7.98 to $10.98. The new models are available at Home Depot and other retailers.
