For the third straight year, Clopay has earned Home Builder Executive’s Gold Award for Innovation in the residential garage door category.

Clopay was recognized for continuing to introduce new low-maintenance, energy- efficient garage door designs that elevate the garage into an architectural focal point, like its new black garage door.

Painting a steel door black used to be a no-no, but the company is using a thermal reflective paint technology to reduce surface temperatures and heat absorption.

Clopay's factory-applied black paint finish is now available on its Gallery® Collection carriage house garage doors and Classic Collection doors. Both feature Intellicore® insulation technology.

Clopay also offers factory-finished black steel and fiberglass entry doors with coordinating panel designs and decorative glass.
