Leading landscaping tool brand to sponsor World of Outlaws race car driven by Brad Sweet

Kasey Kahne Racing (KKR), a World of Outlaws Sprint Car racing team, announced today the addition of Razor-Back® Professional Tools, a leading manufacturer of landscaping and construction jobsite tools, to its roster of corporate team sponsors. Razor-Back will serve as a primary sponsor of the No. 49 Sprint Car driven by Brad Sweet for 37 races. The 29-year-old California native is one of the top drivers in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and currently sits first in the driver points standings following the opening DIRTcar Nationals series held at Volusia Speedway Park (Florida) in mid-February.

"Brad is off to a fast start and, thanks to Razor-Back, he’ll be able to run a full season and compete for the World of Outlaws Sprint Car championship," said Kahne, a former USAC Midget champion who currently drives in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. "Razor-Back’s tough American-made tools fit well into the KKR family and we are looking forward to getting them to victory lane this season."

The No. 49 Razor-Back/Sage Fruit/ASE entry will make its debut in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on March 4–5 at the Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The event begins a West Coast swing for the series that lasts through mid-April.

After being tapped to drive for Kasey Kahne Racing in 2007 by Kasey Kahne himself, Sweet became a superstar in his own right in the USAC racing world with victories including the Belleville Midget Nationals, the Knoxville Midget Nationals and both the Sprint Car and Midget "Four Crown Nationals" at Eldora Speedway. 2014 was Sweet’s first full-time season on the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car tour. His five wins earned him Rookie of the Year honors.

The Mooresville, N.C.-based company was formed in 2005 and employs more than 15 people dedicated to sprint car racing. KKR fields entries in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series for Daryn Pittman and Brad Sweet. In 2013, KKR’s No. 9 Great Clips/Sage Fruit/ASE Sprint Car team driven by Pittman won the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series championship making Kasey Kahne a first-time champion team owner. This was the first championship for Kahne and his KKR organization. In 2014, Pittman and the No. 9 team again challenged for the WoO championship, finishing second in the season points while winning 14 feature events.
